Rates and Fees:

When shopping for a merchant account, merchant account rates and fees are definitely important. That being said, the rate a processing company charges may not be as important as the overall value that company has to offer. A common misconception is that a “discount rate” determines what you pay at the end of the month. This is not always true since there are many different fees associated with a merchant account, fees like a monthly minimum, statement fee, early cancellation fee, equipment and set up fee and many more. These little fees can quickly add up to be more than any discount rate.

Monthly Minimum Fee: $0
Electronic Statement Fee: $0
Equipment Fee: $0 to $399 depending on the equipment

Mail Order/Telephone Order/E-Commerce Account (Average ticket between $25 to $400):

Set Up Fee: $0 to $75 (depending on Gateway)
V/M/D Discount Rate: 0.35%
Authorization Fee: $0.12
Batch Fee: $0.00 to $0.17
Monthly Customer Service Fee: $5
Annual PCI Compliance Fee: $99
Monthly Gateway Fee: $5 to $20 (depending on Gateway)
Monthly Minimum Fee: $0
Electronic Statement Fee: $0
Equipment Fee: $0 to $345 (depending on gateway required

 

All the above mentioned rates are a part of an interchange plus pricing structure. Interchange plus is the most transparent for of pricing and is the only pricing structure we work with.
